This incident was difficult, but it has clarified what truly matters: your trust and our responsibility to protect it. We have emerged with stronger security protocols, better partnerships, and an unwavering commitment to safeguarding our community. Many of today's blue chip projects experienced turbulence in their early days. In fact, most have endured one or more significant incidents before establishing themselves as industry leaders. What defines a project is not the absence of challenges, but how it responds to them. $PRXVT is entering a transformative new chapter, with a bright future shaped by strategic partnerships, collaborations, and the continued expansion of our product line. What Happened: Shortly after the launch of our new staking contract on Base, the contract was targeted in an exploit. The attacker manipulated the staking pool mechanics to extract value. We responded with immediate and decisive action by pausing the contract and working closely with our partners to secure the liquidity. These swift and coordinated actions successfully contained the incident, minimized losses, and prevented any further exploitation. How It Happened: A recent modification that changed the original no-reward period from seven days to immediate rewards, burned a portion of the reward supply, and made the receipt token transferable within the staking mechanism introduced a critical vulnerability. Unfortunately, this issue was not identified by our audit partners at the time during their review. Once the issue surfaced, the auditors declined to assume liability for compensating users, but we stepped in, made everyone whole, and immediately engaged reputable audit partners. This was a significant oversight that should have been detected, and we take full responsibility for the decision to proceed with the deployment. The Impact: We are immensely relieved that the overall impact remained limited. Thanks to our rapid containment measures, we were able to minimize damage and protect the broader ecosystem. Most importantly, the team committed its own funds to fully reimburse every affected community member. No one was left behind, we made certain of that because your trust means everything to us. Audits Moving Forward: Security is our highest priority. Going forward, every PRXVT product and contract will undergo comprehensive audits exclusively by recognized Tier 1 firms such as Spearbit and Cantina. We are committed to the most rigorous standards to safeguard our community. Staking Relaunch: Our staking program will return stronger than ever, with even more rewards once comprehensive Tier 1 audits are complete.
